The sloth is the slowest mammal on the earth.

From its humble perch in the forest canopy, it represents complete harmony with nature, and is one of the most energy-efficient creatures known to humans. It lives in perfect, closed- loop symbiosis with the environment it inhabits, while itself serving as mutualistic host to several flourishing micro-ecologies of plant and animal life.

The sloth's adaptive and cooperative way of life and its peaceful, non-competitive nature are assets not only to its own survival, but also to our human understanding of how we may best survive-- and thrive-- both in today's world and into the future.

Characteristic of all sloths is the permanent smile!
